I have set up this page to give you some pointers to resources to give you some ideas for options to include in your web pages. These references are by no means comprehensive, but are just intended to act as a starting point for further exploration!
Backgrounds, Buttons and Bars
To get some ideas of the different "looks" you can give a web page, have a look at the following:
Fuzzy Faces for "doggy" graphics (page themes, colour schemes, backgrounds, buttons, dividing lines...)
Sonya Marvel's Marvelicious creations include a rather glamourous theme for your pages which involves Cavaliers, crinolines and a Christmas tree!
And Backgrounds by Marie has two cute puppy options: a pup in a bucket tiled background, and a trio of pups border and button theme.
Mardi Wetmore's free button and icon themed sets from her Web Graphics on a Budget are well worth a second glance.

Graphics and Animations
If you would like a little animation or some cute cartoons, visit these sites for inspiration:
Ronja's page has some Cavalier animations and graphics.

Mike Shaikun's Animated Gif Collection has three full pages of of doggy animations, plus others throughout the list.
The Animation Library web site has some dog animations (but site may be very slow!)

Mood Music
If you fancy a adding a little music to your pages, then the following resources will help:
For classical music go no further than the classical midi archive!
The Midi Farm offers a list of music sites for all tastes, and its own selection of midi files.
And if you are looking for a particular piece of music, then there is a great midi search engine to help you find it!

Web Page Colours
Finally, to investigate various colour schemes for your masterpiece, try the our whizzo web page colour selector! You can get some idea how text and background colours tone or clash. Apologies if it is a little complicated, but I am still looking for something that will combine both functions.
Instructions:
Use the Colour Values Table below to
select and display different coloured backgrounds.
To see how your text and links colours match your background colour,
select the colour you want, and find its (hexadecimal) colour code. Split this
code into three sets of two characters (for red, green, and blue relative values)
and type them into the appropriate boxes in the HTML BODY Elements Colour
Selector.
For example, Blue is #0000FF:
type 00 in the red box, 00 in the green box and FF in the blue box.
Next, choose the HTML BODY element whose colour you wish to change,
place your cursor in one of the edit boxes, and press the enter key
to see your chosen page, text and link colours. Repeat for each element until
you have an acceptable set of colour combinations; these values can then be used
in the HTML <BODY> tag for your web page.
